Kiev Events in April 2017
This year Kiev will please with plenty of events of all types. We’ve looked through more than a hundred of upcoming events and selected 14 of those which definitely deserve attention.
Kyiv coffee festival 3.0 (April 1st-2nd)
The festival within which popular trends of the coffee industry and ‘knacks’ of various Ukrainian coffee houses will be presented. The jury including the world famous names will judge 5 national competitions and you’ll be able to taste and master the technique of brewing trendy beverages.

French spring 2017 (April 1st)
The traditional festival of French culture in Kiev for connoisseurs of everything that is spectacular and impressive. Interesting exhibitions, concerts, discussions. Pre-premiere screening of French movies. And also an aerialist show with beautiful lighting effects.
Free admission, beginning at 20:30.

“Kievsky kontrakty” fair (April 8th-9th)
A big metropolitan fair at which one can buy many interesting things: souvenirs with the national flavor, exclusive handmade items as well as gastronomic novelties by Ukrainian producers. Here you can join one of the master classes and enjoy the nourishing food court by the best chefs of Kiev.

Pysanka festival 2017 (April 8th-24th)
The festival for masters and talented beginners of painting of one of the main Easter symbols – the egg. The size of some exhibits will reach several meters.
4 locations are planned:
– For the Ukrainian pysanka collection (around 400 author works)
– For traditional paintings and children’s works
– For festive (Easter) fair
– For presentation of handmade works and painting, master classes and a lounge zone

Street food festival (April 8th-9th)
The large open air restaurant at which you’ll have a comfortable rest and for sure taste something new. The Young Blood zone will be made available to newcomers and startups. The second location will be arranged in the style of speakeasy bars. Several pubs will also be invited to the festival whose barmen will demonstrate the art of mixing popular cocktails.

kARTonFEST (April 21st-30th)
The first festival of cardboard sculptures and creativity. Within the event it’s planned to hold a fair, master classes and stage productions. For guests various art-locations with the sculptures several meters high will be organized. Delicious food and creative atmosphere are guaranteed!

UAmade Fest “Foodculture” (April 22nd-23rd)
At the event a degustation of popular European dishes, master classes, lectures about the origin of food and most delicious street treats are waiting for you. The action will be divided into several themed zones where colorful shows as well as educational talks about the healthy diet will take place.

“Welcome to America” StreetFest (April 22nd)
One of the brightest events of the year – the show-festival about traditions and culture of the USA.
Here 6 themed zones will be waiting for you: New York, Hollywood, Miami, Springfield, Silicon Valley and Disneyland. You’ll be able to stroll along the Walk of Fame, mix with favorite Disney characters,
get advice on the tourism matters and enjoy the taste of famous ‘Homer’s’ ribs.

Courage-Bazaar- April (April 23rd-24th)
The large Kiev flea market with a charity accent. As a participant, you’ll be able to help children from hospitals and orphanages as well as to find many things of your interest.
A nice bonus will be a performance of good DJs, international street food and useful master classes.

“Carmen Suite” ballet- féerie (April 26th)
The performance which for many years gets to fall in love with it the leading theaters of different countries of the world. The stage production impresses and enchants. Thanks to the beautiful music, bright sets and special effects you’ll be immersed in the atmosphere of Spain where you’ll enjoy the exciting corrida and visit the famous Lilas Pastia tavern.

Kiev Events in May 2017
Eurovision-2017 (May 8th-13th)
The most anticipated song contest of Europe. This year 43 countries have applied for participation. Kievites and guests of the city will have a chance to watch 9 shows: 6 rehearsals, 2 semi-finals and the final which will take place on May 13th at 9 p.m. For those who won’t be able to buy the tickets, the special fan-zones with live broadcasting of all what’s happening will be arranged.

“Tatto Collection” festival (May 19th-21st)
The international festival of tattoos and piercing which unites people of different nationalities and countries. The main purpose: to convey to the world around the message that a tattoo is not just a vulgar inking but a creative expression of inner world and state of a person. During the show a demonstration of the best works of popular masters, holding draws as well as musical performances
are planned.

UAmade Fest:Beerculture (May 20th-21st)
The beer festival for presentation of the best Ukrainian producers. Here you’ll have possibility to select and degust beer for every taste and also participate in a cheerful contest or an exciting master class. Five different zones will present barber shops, traditional German dances and DJs’ performances. Animators will take care of the entertainment for children.

Hiromi Duet Concert (May 21st)
A spectacular performance of two virtuosos! Please meet the jazz pianist Hiromi and the preeminent harpist Edmar Castaneda. Their recent show in New York has created the real furor and united two really talented people.
